I was really enjoying watching the squirrel sun itself every evening on the tree.I think I made the squirrel nervous, though. He hasn't been at the tree for about 1 1/2 weeks. At first, I thought that something bad had happened, and mourned the loss of the squirrel. I was up alone yesterday morning, getting ready for work, I noticed some movement in the tree at the back of the lot. It got my attention, and I could not figure out what was going on, but the branches were wiggling wildly. I was finally able to see what was causing all the commotion, and was surprised to see the squirrel! It was sneaking over to grab a pear, and then ran back over our fence from one of the trees.
I guess that means I shouldn't stare at squirrels?
I caught the squirrel having supper last night...it was apparently very tasty, as it ate the whole thing. The neighbors have a pear tree, and apparently Squirrel collected a specimen for supper. After supper, Squirrel had to take a nap. He just turned around and straddled the same tree limb, all four legs hanging over the sides, and belly touching the tree. I've never seen a squirrel do that before!

Another Agatha Raisin cozy mystery, and lots of fun.
There's a new character in the series; Toni Gilmour. I liked her character, and hope that this character sticks around for a while.
This is like the 18th or so in a series, so it really only makes sense to read it if you already read Agatha Raisin mysteries. If you don't, and like light reading and cozy mysteries, find the first one in your public library. I bet it's there! (And I can't remember the name of the first one!)

I really liked this book--I think it's going to be a great one for the group. The book is written from two points of view, but it's very clear which POV is which.
The first point of view is first-person of the main character, an autistic man in his late thirties/early forties. You can almost feel what it's like to be him from his narrative.
The second point of view is a third-person narrative, and focuses on the how others view the main character.
A very engaging book, and I was a bit surprised by the ending.
Go for it! :)

This one seems to have a lot of junk in the middle, but it actually goes somewhere. I rather enjoyed this book, and I'm usually not an alternate history fan.
The "good guys" are actually quite likable, and the "bad guys" are quite unlikeable. Definitely a fun read. :)
